MariaGiulia Serantoni is a choreographer and performer based in Berlin.
She holds a Dance-Theatre postgraduate Diploma at Paolo Grassi School of Drama in Milan, Italy.
She deepens her dance education at Modem Atelier, directed by Roberto Zappalà in Catania, Italy.She is selected for the Master Excerce at ICI-CCN Montpellier 2020-2022.In 2020 presents “DIA-Fantasie Ritmiche”, quartet for two bodies and two stools, at CanGo Cantieri Goldonetta, as part of “La Democrazia del Corpo “ Festival, curated by Compagnia Virgilio Sieni. In 2019 her piece “Underground Memoirs” wins the production prize “Vivo d’Arte” promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Foundation Romaeuropa and premieres at Romaeuropa Festival, Rome.In 2019 her piece “Eutropia” premieres at MilanOltre Festival. It is produced by Fattoria Vittadini in co-production with DanceHaus Più and Next-Regione Lombardia and supported by Via Grande Studios and Scenario Pubblico. Eutropia is nominated for the award “Premio Equilibrio” 2018 in Rome. “Short Stories - nothing too intimate”, co-choreography with Maria Focaraccio, is presented at the “Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore, 2019” in Ravenna and at Rinascimento Fuori Orario Festival in Matera.In 2019 she begins her collaboration with Australian artist Kate McDowell. “Eve On Tour- work in progress” is presented at Sydney Fringe Festival 2019 and supported by NORPA, The Quad and Legs On The Wall. “Diagonals and Other Love Stories- work in progress” is presented at Think Pink Festival Milan, FIND Festival Cagliari, Teatro Eliseo Nuoro.
In 2019 she attends the workshop with Meg Stuart in Poland and the creative process of “The Unbuilt School of Architecture”, by Jozef Wouters, Decoratelier.In 2018 she is supported by Berliner Senat Einstiegsförderung. In summer 2018 she attends P.O.R.C.H. Choreography and Performance Synthesis Module in Ponderosa, Stolzenhagen. 
From 2014 until 2018 she collaborates with the collective Laborgras, directed by Renate Graziadei and Arthur Stäldi, by which she works also with David Hernandez and Keith A. Thompson. In 2009 she co-founds Fattoria Vittadini Dance Company. In 2018 Fattoria Vittadini wins the award “Hystrio-corpo a corpo”.
